Microsoft Edge may be the cat’s meow (how’s that for dating myself) but it appears to me to be inserting itself unbidden in my 7 Pro system where my Chrome and Firefox are functioning just fine! How do I eliminate this ongoing intrusion? And, why is the “new and improved” MS Edge trying to do anything in such an obsolete system as mine, when I did not invite it in. I like what I have now and at the age of 72 I no longer have the ability, knowledge, or desire to row throw a system to somehow save dozens and dozens of currently functioning programs (you know, the term used before they were called apps) and all of its stored data. In previous Microsoft OS upgrades it was possible to overwrite the existing OS and retain the function of the existing programs and the data and files of the previous system.
